[You guys can gang up on Hawke later when he's not prone to busting a gut laughing or crying like an overly emotional drama queen, okay?]

[Though the memory of a mabari (his mabari...kind of) named "Cupcake" actually does wonders for sobering him! Good job, Bethany!]

Cupcake is still a terrible name.

[SUPER SRS OVER HERE SUDDENLY, wow hello mood swing.]

...Although I guess it'd be okay for a ridiculous little dog like Pearl.

[Aaaaand back to something approaching normal!Hawke.]
onetrackminds: (your logic is flawed because mages)

Cupcake?

[he pauses on his way into the kitchen to look between the two of them.]

Do horrible names just run in the family?

[Says the one basing names on puns, and giving terrible nicknames to dogs. Buuut time to check the fridge, which isn't all that well-stocked yet.]

We've got milk. And water. And beer, too, and I imagine he's hidden some wine around here somewhere. Though I could make some tea or coffee.
hawkethat: (carver PLEASE shut up!!)

[personal profile] hawkethat 2013-05-17 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
The wine's not hidden, it's in the closet there.

[Because it's supposed to be kept "cool", not cold.]

There's nothing wrong with the name "Champion". And Pearl is a nice name.

[Dog names are srs bsns, yo.]
onetrackminds: (I have some "potions" back there)

[personal profile] onetrackminds 2013-05-17 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
It's no more trouble to pour wine than water. And Hawke didn't buy it for himself.

[because Hawke needs alcohol to bribe his friends to come over.]

I still think Joan of Bark would have been a better name.
hawkethat: (well isn't that cute)

[personal profile] hawkethat 2013-05-19 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
I thought Joan of Bark was cute.

[Uh. You would, Hawke.]

[Also, is Anders getting that water for Bethany, or should Hawke?]

onetrackminds: (did I hear you say mages)

[personal profile] onetrackminds 2013-05-19 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
[Anders will get it!]

Joan of Bark would have suited her.
hawkethat: (uncle gamlen please put your shirt back)

[...Those are fighting words, Bethany. D:]

[Hawke's just...not going to say anything. He kind of wants to see where this will go.]

Are you insulting my cat? [how dare you!!!] He was a fierce warrior; the same suited him. And he was a better healer than either of you.
hawkethat: (i'm the champion of kirkwall)

[personal profile] hawkethat 2013-05-21 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't realize rough cat tongues were a passable substitute for actual healing spells.

[Gosh, Anders, he knows his healing spells aren't great but at least they're something!]
onetrackminds: (I did tell you I know best)

Pounce could revive people in the middle of battle. Several people at once, too.

[Does he sound proud? That would be because he is.]

I sometimes wondered if perhaps he'd attracted a spirit.
